The King George B & B is an upscale bed and breakfast offering an uncluttered mix of antiques and new soft furnishings with ample space, high ceilings and inviting king-size, queen-size and twin-size beds. The property is listed as one of Canada's Historical Places of Interest and has been painstakingly renovated and restored to maintain it's gracious 100 yr-old character while providing modern amenities. We supply luxurious linens, fluffy robes, hairdryers, makeup mirrors and fine personal toiletries. Each room has a private ensuite bathroom, wireless high-speed Internet access, and private television. A full, cooked breakfast and afternoon tea* are served daily, and packed lunches and evening meals are available upon request, prepared in the What’s Cookin’ Miramichi kitchen. Breakfasts consist of seasonal fruit, yogourt, egg-based entrées, and accompanying muffins or scones. We will be pleased to meet special dietary requirements with advance notice provided upon booking. *on request

Our newest guest suite on the main floor of our B&B. This is a two room suite that offers a queen size bed in the bedroom and a separate sitting room with wide-screen tv. For your convenience, there is a servery with mini fridge, Tassimo coffee maker and 2-person bistro table set. This suite offers wheelchair access from the back patio and a 4'x4' shower stall in the ensuite that is suitable for wheelchair access. Air conditioning, in-room heat and wireless internet access will add to your comfort and enjoyment. Rates include a 3 course cooked breakfast and afternoon tea on request. The King George B&B is an ideal and comfortable base for exploring the Miramichi area and its abundant attractions. Only two blocks from Ritchie’s Wharf Park, enjoy all the amenities the park has to offer: Stroll down for an ice cream, visit unique gift shops, art gallery, take in a local concert, visit the children’s play & splash area or take a boat tour of the great Miramichi river. The Miramichi River is well-known among anglers and conservationists as a world treasure for Atlantic salmon fishing. Not an outdoorsman? Then the Acadian Shore is a day tripper’s delight . . . full of antiques, shopping in the village boutiques, dropping in for a tour of The Olivier Soapery, the local lighthouses and cafes might be enough to tempt you. The beaches of the Bouctouche Dunes and the eco-museum will make you marvel at the collection of shells and warm temperature of the seawater. For those individuals interested in local history or researching their personal family tree, Miramichi Landings consists of 11 sites along the river which offer numerous activities for visitors to experience first hand what life was like on this majestic watercourse. With its history in shipbuilding, forestry, and even pirates, the river continues to leave an indelible mark on your heart. And if you would like to pay your respects to your Irish roots, a stop at Middle Island is a definite must. Now linked to the mainland by a causeway, it is easily accessible by car and is staffed during the summer months by guides who are well versed in the history of this moving and sacred place. This small island in the mouth of the Miramichi River became the final resting place for many who contracted ‘ship’s fever’ or typhus during the crossing. Miramichi is also known as ‘the festival city’ due to the number of popular events throughout the year like ‘Canada’s Irish Festival’ and the ‘Rock n Roll Festival’. Our hospitality is legendary.
