Our R.V. Camping Park is located in the beautiful Codroy Valley, a 30 min drive from the Port aux Basques Ferry Terminal, in Canada's most Eastern province, Newfoundland and Labrador. We offer you the Best in camping.
We cater to your group, large or small, by presenting you with a wide range of features. A single RV or a tenter will be as welcome as the largest Caravan Groups, so make it a point to include us in your camping experience.
Our Camping Sites are easily accessible by campers of all sizes. Don't be concerned that your large rig might be difficult to get on site. Our park is spacious and designed for the biggest rigs. Check our photos to see how level and accessible it really is. We cater to large caravans and are always complimented on our facilities. We do not have 50 amp electricity, however, our 30 amp is just that, 30 amp, not shared with your neighbour!
We offer the following facilities: Fully and partially serviced sites as well as grassy un-serviced tent sites. Guests can enjoy free wireless Internet Access (WIFI-802.11) and fire wood and we offer water and sewer hookups, a dumping station and comfort Stations. Electricity is 15 and 30 Amp Service and we do have a pay phone on site for guest use.
The comfort stations offer free Hot Showers and flush toilets which are both handicapped accessible. For your convenience, we also provide a laundromat which is also handicapped accessible.
Purchase Newfoundland all Locally Made Handcrafts in our Country Craft Shop on site. Excellent prices! Great place to do your Christmas Shopping!
Inquire about joining Alice for a day as she goes on a Tour of the area-if you are traveling without a tow vehicle (or if you just want to learn more about the area from a Local) don't let that stop you from touring our "Unique" corner of the Island. Alice knows the area well, she was born & brought up here, married Dennis and they have 3 sons that they brought up right here in the Codroy Valley ---she enjoys showing off the Place/Province to visitors!
Pet Sitting Service is available and you can enjoy Unsupervised Swimming (River access) and walking the "The Truth Trail" right from our location.

Location:
Our Campground is located on the banks of the Grand Codroy River 36 km East of Port aux Basques (a 30 mi n, max, drive from the Ferry). An ideal first & last stop for people getting off the ferry or going to the ferry. We are located on Doyles Station Road. If you are approaching us as you arrive on the Island my directions are: When you depart the Ship, follow the Ferry traffic, this will put you on TCH -Route 1, you will travel along for 30 min or a little less & you will come to Route 406, it will be on your left, exit here & travel for approx 1 1/2 km & you will reach Doyles Station Rd, turn right on it & travel for approx 1/2 km & our gate then will be on your left, "Welcome to Grand Codroy RV Camping Park!" If you are on the Island & arriving from East, when you pass the signs for "South Branch" you will know that you have about 15 min drive until you get to Doyles Station Rd, it will be on your Right, exit here and you will travel for 1 km and you will see our gate on your Right..........IF YOU MISS Doyles Station Rd continue for 1 more km & you will come to Exit 406, then you can follow the instruction above to get to our Campground from that Exit! Note: If you are looking at the Google Map it appears that the Doyles Station Rd is not connected to the TCH -Route 1, however it is and you will see the sign for it on the highway - it is easy to miss so you have to really be watching for it. Also all these roads are paved.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:
Our prices include children (unless you are traveling as a group with a bus, etc. then call for a quote) and are based on two adults, however, we do not charge any extra for two couple traveling together in one RV or tent.
Reception Information:
Thank you for choosing Grand Codroy RV/tent Camping Park as your "Home away from Home!" We pride ourselves in being in the Office to Welcome every one of our Visitors, however, if we are not in the office upon your arrival please refer to the Notice in the window, go ahead, make yourself at Home, we will see you in the morning!
Business Facilities:
We offer Free Wireless Internet. If you need to send a fax there is a Credit Union minutes away that offer that service, they also have an ATM that is accessible at all times. If there is anything else that we can help you with we are more than happy to do so.
Car Parking:
Our Sites are extra large & can accommodate the largest units that are on the road, no problem with room to park your tow vehicle. If you should happen to be towing a boat, etc. we have lots of room to accommodate all parking needs.
Things to do:
While visiting with us we have a Unique Walking Trail that one of our visitors called an "Inspiration Trail" - it is just a one km walking trail that makes a figure eight through a wooded area that has several lookout points over the Grand Codroy River. All along the way you will find signs on the trees with words of "Wit & Wistom" to entertain you as you walk along. Even on the hottest days a gentle breeze off the River seems to blow through the trees & keep you cool as well as keep those pesky bugs away!
We also have Horseshoe Pits, some games, baseball gloves, some swings & teeter totters and lots of open space to play frisby, etc. We do have direct access to the River for those who are traveling with a canoe, kayak, etc.
Our Craft Shop with all "Made in Newfoundland" Crafts & is located right in the Campground & is open from 9am to 9pm, is a big hit with our Visitors.
Local Attractions:
Nearby we have a beautiful 9 hole Golf Course, A Wildlife Museum, Wetland's Interpretation Center, Hot Spots for Birders, Stained Glass Shop, Historic Churches, Fish Plant, Lighthouses, Hiking Trails, (one that takes you to the top of the Long Range Mountains) Sandy Beaches, excellent place for peddle bikes, lots of local General Stores, Entertainment on Wednesday nights & on Sunday Afternoon, lovely places to eat good Home cooked meals...............and Scenery, Scenery everywhere!! A Photographer's Paradise!
