As a member of the Community Museums Association of PEI, School Street House (c.1874) is a genuine old-time dwelling steeped in history and essentially untouched since the turn of the last century.The furnishings and floorings date between 1900-1960 to maintain the feeling of nostalgia.
This home offers guests the feeling of being transported back in time while still enjoying modern conveniences such as cable television, wireless internet, electric oven in the kitchen and barbecue in the private yard.

School Street House is a three bedroom self-contained home. The Front Bedroom boasts a queen size bed, wardrobe and antique gentlemen's chest. The floor is original 1957 Rexoleum. In the Middle Room, you will find a single bed and a waterfall chest of drawers. The room can accommodate a cot if required. The Back Bedroom offers an old time double bed, suitable for one large adult or two children (or smaller adults.) There is also a wardrobe and chest of drawers for your convenience.
The rest of the house is furnished to maintain the historic look and feel of the home. The original Island Spruce floors date back to the 1900's and are complimented by such touches as a vintage 1930's Hammond Organ and an original desk from the Wellington Railway Station from West Prince County, PEI.
The kitchen features the modern convenience of an electric stove with the historical charm of an adjoining old-fashioned pantry. The formal dining room is the perfect spot to enjoy a dinner with friends and family.
Relax at the end of the day in the original claw foot bathtub in the 4-piece bathroom, complete with original pedestal sink.
Other highlights of the home include wireless high-speed internet, air conditioned upstairs, oil heating and a private yard complete with barbecue facilities.

Included in the published rate is 4 adults. (Maximum occupancy - 6 guests). Of the extra guests 2 may be an adult.
Cancellations:
A deposit of 50% of total is required at the time of reservation (collected through this site). Should you cancel less than 8 weeks prior to your arrival, your deposit will not be reimbursed unless the house is re-booked, in which case your deposit will be refunded less a $50. CAD service charge.
Administration policy on refunds: This site's administration policy on refunds: 10% of the total paid+ $3.00 booking fee is non-refundable. Refunds on remaining balance to be negotiated directly w/property owner subject to their policy.
